Proper Storage of
Your Gown
Your silk wedding gown is a
cherished item, and should be properly maintained and
stored. Have your gown professionally dry
cleaned as soon as possible after the ceremony.
Store your gown in an acid-free archival grade storage box,
and pad each fold with unbuffered, acid-free tissue
paper. Do the same for your veil and accessories.
If you choose to hang your gown in storage, use a padded
hanger, and cover with an unbleached, 100% cotton muslin
dust cover or garment bag. Store in a cool, dry
place away from direct
sunlight. |
